Freespace Holiday Fundraiser

  • Jazz Gallery Center for the Arts 926 East Center Street Milwaukee, WI, 53212 United States (map)

Freespace is an independent, all-ages, monthly, (mostly) hip-hop showcase and interview series featuring up-and-coming young musicians and established artists. It was founded in 2015 by English teacher Vincent Gaa and experimental hip-hop artist WebsterX (Sam Ahmed).

This event will feature a lineup of youth performers (Riqo, Jxst Dame, Dread Sxott, A.D.H.D., Young Epic, and D.J. The Jenius) and Genesis Renji, all backed by the Rhythm Changes band. It will close with a community cypher, meaning any rapper in the house (of any age) can jump in and freestyle.

The event will also include two youth DJs: Patrón Mke and DJ Iced Out Arizona.

The event narrator will be Kavon Cortez-Jones.

There is a $5 suggested donation, but no one will be turned away.
