Lexi is obsessed with all things Urban. She believes that there is a beauty between every sidewalk crack and alleyway. She is outspoken, confident, and her creativity allows her to view the world WAY outside the box. She is a multifaceted professional with a BFA in Interior Architecture & Design and MA in Media Studies. Her passion for social equality, freedom of expression, and goofy wit makes her just the right combo of kick a** to get any job done. She makes IT happen!

Vedale Hill

Vedale is a fine artist who draws inspiration from his personal perspective of an impoverished urban upbringing, which has allowed him to apply his creative skills as a pragmatic practice of culture and identity. He holds a B.F.A. in Integrated Studio Arts from Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, where he has also returned to serve as an adjunct professor of New Studio Practice. One of his greatest accomplishments has been the creation of Jazale’s Art Studio, a non-profit arts education community youth studio, as well as an artist and residency program for artists of color in Milwaukee. He is a licensed General contractor and Co-Founder of HomeWorks: Bronzeville Development Initiative.

The best way to describe Imani would be nothing less than “the Jill of all trades”. Her comedic energy and enthusiastic personality is hard to match. One of her biggest goals is to help connect different generations to Urban culture through media, specialized projects, and interpersonal encounters. While embracing and cultivating her own versatile creativity, she hopes to not only strengthen the local community with opportunities to voice their own stories but to encourage others to speak, stand and live in their own truth.

Desriana has always been observant and intrigued by not only the glitz and glamour of showbiz but also the work and people behind the curtains of the entertainment industry. As a marketing and psychology major from Trinity Christian College, writing, analyzing and interacting with the stories of people and their journeys has always come naturally to her. She believes the anatomy of her urban culture such as music, fashion, community and media played a large role in finding herself at a young age. Desriana has lived many lives from being a radio program assistant at Heard 107 Media to now turning her goals into reality with CopyWrite and is ready to take on as much responsibility as she can! She knows with her ambition, creativity, light-hearted personality and authenticity she will go far in this industry by also staying true to herself and putting in the work.

Brooklyn “BK” Anderson

Brooklyn “BK” is an aspiring screenwriter, HBCU graduate, and a lover of TV, movies, and all things BLACK. A native of Cleveland, OH and a Milwaukee, WI transplant, she is deeply rooted the Black midwestern experience with an appreciation for every representation of Black American life. Through her screenplays, digital art and graphic design pieces, poetry, and short stories, it is always BK’s goal to “Be Kreative” with everything she does.

Sky is a passionate writer who ties her love for fashion and community into every creative thing she does. Born and raised in Milwaukee, she appreciates the beauty and the creativity that the city carries. With a future BA in Journalism and experience in fashion styling, production and reporting, she hopes to bring love and awareness to the fashion community of Milwaukee as a fashion journalist. Her goal is to showcase that fashion is not something that is just on the surface, but something that brings people together and holds history.
