Jill is Black, Reggie Jackson, and Project Infinity hosted by Jay Anderson and Voodoo Honey at Company Brewing on June 30th, 2018. Doors at 9:00pm, show at 9:30pm.
Jill is Black is a writer/trainer/and lecturer. Her social commentary is centered around inner and outer-community hierarchies, the myth of white fragility and other words for racism, the endlessly-pending and highly-exclusive revolution, identity, and reaction-based illusions of societal progress. It is Jills belief that the shift away from anti-difference will begin with an outpouring of radical, multi-generational, inclusive and validating honesty.
Reggie Jackson presents The Hidden Impact of Segregation which covers decades of intentional policies along with de-industrialization that have negatively impacted African American and immigrant communities as we know them today.
Project Infinity is a collective/conglomerate of activists coming together to re-activate all community by leading with example. The work is broad, ranging from work based in marginalized communities, work that is focused on dismantling privilege emotionally, and any other oppression that is encouraged by the system we live in.
