#WeeSeeYou PaperStacks - Right Before The Feelin'

A few mornings ago our PowerCircle connect,  dropped a link to PaperStacks "Right Before The Feelin'" in my messages.

With clean production, appropriate 414 vibe and some unexpected emotion PaperStacks has released a project that is very easy to listen to.  Where PowerCircle affiliates are known for their turn up's, he balances that stigma with come ups, sexy slow downs, and tasteful stunting (if stunting can be tasteful).  Paper stack definitely brings the listener right before a few feelin's. Check out the project and let us know what you think.

Rahn Harper - Morning (ft. Mic Kellogg)

Get your morning started off right with the newest track from Rahn Harper and breakfast fanatic Mic Kellogg.

The smooth track seems to be the first of a series of tracks that are approaching for the artist. Telling HipHopDX that he plans on "releasing singles every 2 weeks for the next 4 months." Though we can’t confirm these singles are attached to a project, we’re anticipating more quick flows, some killer features and explosive visuals to come from Rahn.

Peep the track below.

#WeSeeYou Sean Smart - Stupid/Smart (Miilkbone Remix)

Don't sleep on Sean.

Smart or stupid, Sean Smart is never lacking on the rhymes tip.

His newest flow, "Stupid/Smart" solidifies the respect we have for this emcee, telling the world that any chance he gets he will be killing anything he touches. If you don't find him in a booth killing a verse, you can find him behind the computer screen creating the looks for local art shows, cover art for other artists as well as even designs for his own clothing line, Naēs Wear.

Listen to the track below or watch the video but as always #WeSeeYou Sean.

Hip-Hop Hates Cancer 2016

Hip-Hop Hates Cancer. CopyWrite Hates Cancer. Everyone Should Hate Cancer.

Tomorrow, April 29 at 9pm, make your way down to the Cactus Club to hate cancer with us. The benefit concert will be raising money for the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin's oncology department and more specifically kids that are suffering from terminal cancer, and their families, in an attempt to help them get better and enjoy the time they have left together.

With a $5 cover (with a suggested $10 fee), 100% of the profits go towards the charity. The show is 21+ but that shouldn’t stop you from donating; especially since you can donate online now.

While you wait for the show, listen to the mix below from Milwaukee Record of the performers.

On Friday, April 29 at Cactus Club, the Hip-Hop Hates... benefit concert will be back for one last show: Hip-Hop Hates...V: Hip-Hop Hates Cancer. "The show will be raising money for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin's oncology department, and more specifically kids that are suffering from terminal cancer, and their families, in an attempt to help them better enjoy the time they have left together."

Camb - Run It Up (Prod. Vikaden)

Camb is here to stay.

With heartfelt rhymes reminding his listeners that they do not want it like he does. Camb brings us "Run It Up" produced by Vikaden. The track lays out Camb's heart speaking on God, his family, his hustle and his views on college.

We dig it. Listen to the track below.

Rina - I Tried (Prod. Esmé)

Pretty much one word to describe this song from Milwaukee's R&B/soul singer Rina... DOPE!

With strong mixing and production from Esmé and Rina's soft and soulful voice singing away all of her emotions; we know that everything will be okay. "I Tried" is one out of two songs released on her SoundCloud but we can't help but anticipate more from this artist as time goes by.

So chill and vibe out to "I Tried" below and let us know what you think of this lady of R&B.

And in case you missed it, listen to her other single, "Temptation" below.

Ammorelle x Ree$e x Lotus V. - PowerPLANT (Prod. by Trog)

"They say the 414 is cursed."

We would say different after seeing and hearing the talent that comes from the place we call home.

So listen to "PowerPLANT," a thought-provoking song that combines strong lyrics, killer beat and some great production to what we all might need to hear. With verses from Ammorelle, Ree$e and Lotus Valentine; we're hoping for more tracks to come from this unique trio.

Feel the emotion of our city through this powerful track.

WebsterX - Everything (prod. by Q the Sun)

It’s Earth Day so we thought we would share this extraordinary and unworldly video.

Produced and directed by Cody LaPlant and Damien Blue, Webster X brings us the next “trilogy” to the incredible visuals we have already seen for “Doomsday” and “Lately” that were released last year.

The video for “Everything” captures the essence of the song by showcasing a nontraditional path and approach to music as well as the path to sharing ones gift with the world. (Yeah we know Web is an alien but hey we get the metaphor.)

Premiered by Pigeons and Planes, Webster X told them, “This video is a testament of something I’m desperately trying to share with the world, I got a vision man, Cody and Damien allow me to share that with people. People are really starting to realize that slowly. I’ll tell them what that vision is when the world fully accepts me.”

We hear him.

Watch the video below and as we respect our living legends; listen to Ms. Lauryn Hill's, “Everything is Everything” here (because we couldn’t not mention it).

Cree Myles - Crave Me

Sometimes as an artist, you will make songs that will pour your heart right on your sleeve for everyone to hear. If told in a compelling way, your audience can hear your story, understand it and then they can put themselves in the same place as the artist.

This is when we insert Cree Myles video for “Crave Me” which accomplishes this and more.

Her heartfelt song, mixed and recorded by Lon Renzell of THEMpeople, showcases her range of vocal skills along with her undeniable trait to get the audience captivated in what she’s doing and the story she has to tell. The song is pure, vulnerable and a story that we think anyone can relate to. Who can’t relate to wanting someone or even something that doesn’t want you back?

Shot by Tristan and Trayton White, we believe the new song and video is just the start of what Cree has waiting for her audience. Watch the video below.

RIP Prince #RespectTheLegendary

Prince (born Prince Rogers Nelson) was a legacy.

As a Minneapolis native, musician, singer, style icon and endless creative soul, Prince influenced and changed the way people viewed all types of music; breaking down genres and spreading love all in the same breathe.

Today, Prince died (April 21) at the age of 57 in his Paisley Park home and studio, confirmed by his publicist to the Associated Press.

In his 35-plus-year career, Prince released 39 solo studio albums as he continuously experimented with psychedelic rock, intergalactic funk and everything in-between. His 1978 debut album For You and self-titled second LP, released in October 1979, kicked off an incredibly prolific run of albums that included 1999, Purple Rain, Around The World In A Day, Sign O The Times and Batman, among others, throughout the 1980s at a clip of nearly one per year, evolving with each release.

But we could go on and on about the greatness that was Prince. The world will miss him.

Rest peacefully.
