*info from The House of Renji
The House of Renji will be hosting Nights Out East: KEEFE’ Album Release Party, a
musical showcase highlighting the release of Genesis Renji most personal work to
date. KEEFE’ revisits stories from Genesis Renji childhood as a Maryland-born military
child who grew up in an estranged environment that he was not prepared for. While
exploring interracial love in a segregated city, dealing with depression and the death of
childhood friends that help shaped Genesis Renji into the man he is today.
“Unfolding my PTSD” says Genesis Renji. “For the boys in the hood who weren’t born
in the hood”. “We deserve to be heard, we deserve to be understood, just a kid off
Keefe”.
KEEFE’ project is different from Genesis Renji other project because it is based on
unheard narratives. This is his first project with an “industry” feature, Mickey Factz,
which shows a wide range of skills and ability to be mold to any type of production.
The evening is lined up with great talent of the up and coming scene with live
performances from Genesis Renji, J-Lamo, Mo’City, Von Alexander, and CT.
