MILWAUKEE (October 11, 2019)—Media company Carvd N Stone Inc. (CNS) is hosting a community panel that will feature leaders from the 2020 Democratic National Convention and the Milwaukee 2020 Host Committee to share information on the current status of the convention plans, the expected impact of the convention on Milwaukee and the ways the community can get involved. CNS Panel with Milwaukee 2020 DNC Organizers will be held on Oct. 21, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Silver Spring Neighborhood Center in the North Conference room, located at 5460 N. 64th St. Milwaukee, WI 53218.
CNS Panel with 2020 DNC Organizers is an opportunity for the youth of the community to get involved with the DNC by engaging, asking questions and expressing their concerns with 2020 Democratic National Convention team members. Panelist representing the 2020 DNC will be Democratic National Convention Committee CEO, Joe Solmonese; 2020 Milwaukee Host Committee President, Liz Gilbert and 2020 Milwaukee Host Committee Vice President of Diversity, Vendor Accountability and Growth, Lafayette Crump.
The panel will be moderated by Carvd N Stone President Nyesha Stone.
“I’ve been to a few DNC meetings and there’s one thing I constantly saw missing and that’s the youth’s presence. The youth have a voice and they need to be at the table,” said Stone. “This meeting is for the youth and it’s ran by the youth.”
