Lex Allen - Mamas Boy

Mamas Boy.

It's not a necessarily a "good" term and it has different connotations depending on who is saying it but all in all it means the same thing; you are your mother's son.

In Lex Allen's "Mamas Boy" he sings out some of his sorrow in a heartfelt track over a heavily piano driven beat but if you listen closely you'll hear his gasps of air (shout-out to the producer). The song feels like a lullaby that is Lex's reality. Released almost a year after the passing of his mom, Lex's tribute would have made her proud. He maybe a "Mamas Boy" but that's not stopping him any. And while her spirit is still with him today, Allen is singing towards the heavens and healing through his passion and we love it.

So call your mamas, grandmamas and babymamas; remind them that they are loved and you will always be there for them, as they will you.

Listen to the track below and rest peacefully to our #WCW Lex's Mama. We wish we could have met the person that made Lex. We love your Baby Boy too. ❤️

Music.LexAllenProductions.com Lex Allens 'Mamas Boy' turns the earth shattering pain from losing his mother almost a year ago, into a heartfelt memorial with his emotional tenor voice, vivid lyrics and uplifting piano driven beat. It's the perfect soundtrack to healing and finding the silver lining after a tragedy.

Lorde Fredd33 - SOS

S.O.S.

Stop what you're doing and watch the newest video from NAN (New Age Narcissism) member Lord Fredd33. The video for "SOS" tells the story of forbidden love, honor and betrayal all in a beautifully filmed "documentary".

As the first single off of Lorde Fredd33's album "Dead Man's View" (which released in April), the track brings together a collective of sounds and vibes with Fredd33's unique and metaphorical language. And as the title suggests, the content touches on various issues surrounding violence and the complexities of human relationships in a literal way but also in a theatrical way.

Not only was it produced by Q the Sun; Q also was the mastermind who wrote and directed the video while CODE BLUE (better known as Cody LaPlant and Damien Blue) were behind the scenes to shoot and edit the video.

(SIDE NOTE: We really think this duo needs a name when they work together. CODE BLUE is our take on the potential name. You heard it hear first.)

Inspired by Takashi Miike's "13 Assassins," watch the video below and if you want more from Lord Fredd33 and Q the Sun; listen to "Dead Man's Views" here

Chris Siegel x Strehlow - This Is How ft. Siren, Lex Allen, & Christine Hoberg

Collaboration is such a beautiful thing. If you get the right people in the right room, on the right song and with the right production, you're bound to make something pretty amazing.

**Insert KIINGS' Chris Siegel and his collaboration with Strehlow not to mention Siren, Lex Allen and Christine Hoberg**

The track brings together these incredible voices with some energetic 90s vibes and euphoric rhythm for something we will hear at your next summer cookout. We're anticipating more from the Kiing, listen to the track below.

Milwaukee Mondays with New Age Narcissism

What up Milwaukee Mondays!

For those of you who don’t know, “Milwaukee Mondays” are a result of a partnership between the Milwaukee Bucks and 88Nine Radio Milwaukee. In this six-week series, our Monday home games will feature local musicians performing at halftime, local designers creating one-of-a-kind “Milwaukee Originals” gear and even local food that will be presented throughout the game (Free Palermo's anyone?).

New Age Narcissism, NAN was the first music collective to perform and bring their unique and vibrant energy to the Bradley Center. In their about six-minute set, the collective showcased the skills of the group while performing a mash up of some favorites like 'Kinfolk,’ ‘Bango’ and ‘This Is Our Year.’

We were geeked and in a room full of potential new fans, they killed it.

However, while we loved seeing our local artist front and center on stage, we did receive feedback that there could have been improvements (on the Bucks end) for better sound quality and some fans even mentioned giving the artist more time to do what they do best.

We’re just excited to see the rest of what Milwaukee Mondays has to offer.

But we will say that NAN’s energy definitely could have been the main reason the Bucks won 109 to 88. Take that to the head. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bango!

Here’s a list of the Milwaukee Monday nights featuring the Milwaukee Originals shirts and the few local artists they have listed thus far.
