Taiyamo Denku - Animated StoryBoard

Captivating. One word to describe Taiyamo Denku’s new single nd animations ‘Animated Storyboard’. If you actually spitting some real sh*t which believe it or not is hard to find these days. Couldn’t even tell you how many times I had to rewatch/ relisten to this because either I was hung up on one of the bars or I was too into the visuals at the time. I don’t know who produced your graphics but whoever it was is talented, man.

“The crow in Dumbo named Jim, get it? Jim Crow” is the line that stood out the most to me in this whole song because as many times as I watched Dumbo as a kid I literally never even thought of that, mind= blown. We all know those one people who might get upset about the facts being stated but it’s only because no one’s ever been real wit em, but hey that’s life, we can pencil you in but can’t guarantee that you’ll like what you see!

Treat your ears and eyes to some TLC and tune into this new hit.

Sky Phreshh- Raised by Wolves

skyy.jpg

It’s the samples for me!

Skyy Huncho recently released his album “Raised by Wolves.” The album includes seven diverse tracks with constant wordplay, flow and nostalgic samples. Two of my favorite song from Huncho’s latest work is “She-Wolf” and “Dead Press.” “She-Wolf” samples Teyanna Taylor’s “Gonna Love me” (which sampled The Delfonics’ “I gave to you”) and is about Huncho’s love for a girl, while trying to work on their relationship and build together. While “Dead Press” samples Nas’ Dead Presidents, the song’s honesty and tribute to Nas makes it amazing. The constant theme of wolves on the album cover, album title and track names is consistent and clever.

Make sure you check Milwaukee’s very own, Skyy Preshh’s debut album!

Young Deuces - Son of a Soldier

We are on holiday but this dropped today and we want you guys to check it out.

Sorry no fancy write up from us this time but here is the submission blurb.

Young Deuces, ends the year with his 2nd solo album, Son of A Soldier: The Story of Dr. Jekyll's Legacy.  An album inspired by his father's rap book which entailed 7 songs written all within the year he was born.  The very first song in that book was the very first rap that Young Deuces had ever learned and gave him the desire to music.  Listen as each song is inspired & named by that very rap book found in his parents basement.”

Big P - 2520

You know we love an artist who celebrates and tributes the #414, which is why we HAD to give a shoutout to Big P’s latest EP titled “2520.”

Big P says he made this project to pay homage to his childhood home and reflect on the life experiences that shaped him into the man he is today. The project was executive produced by Lik and it features beats from K. Fisha, 11 Gray, Roper Williams, Bugginout, and Haz Solo.

This EP immediately gave me throwback low-rider 90’s and early 2000’s Hip-Hop vibes. From the production to Big P’s flow on each song, I enjoyed it. I don’t like comparing an artists sound to other artists because everyone is unique and deserves to be in their own lane, but if you close your eyes while listening to this EP, you can kind of hear similarities to 50 Cent lol.

Overall the EP was dope and the cover art gives me instant feelings of home. I love when an artist has substance in their music and talks about things that really matter to them. I always say this, but it’s refreshing.

Make sure y’all check it out on Apple Music and tell us what you think.
